Hi Ernie, Thanks for your post. I want to try to clear up a common misunderstanding about Jesus being God. When Christians say that Jesus is God, they DON'T mean that Jesus is the same PERSON as the Father. They (me) believe that Jesus is a seperate person from the Father but EQUAL to Him in NATURE. See John 5:18 where the word Son is given this meaning. The fact that no one has seen God at any time is qualified by Jesus in John 6:46, "No one has seen the Father". If you look at some OT verses you'll see that men did indeed see God. Gen 18:1, 32:30 Ex 24:10, Is 6:1 etc.. So, if no one has seen the Father but they did see God in the OT, who do you think they saw?? Colossians 2:9 says that the fulness of the Deity (Not divine quality) dwells in Jesus bodily. Thomas rightly said to Jesus in John 20:28, "My Lord and my God" In Greek that's, "The Lord of me and THE GOD (ho theos) of me". Thanks for your comments. It keeps me on my toes. See Ya!
